Sarah Ames is a country music artist and songwriter born in Northern California. Sarah’s fresh sound takes on a tell-it-like-it-is “California country” vibe, combining a conversational and colorful lyric, with the sounds of country, rock, and pop. Sarah’s biggest influences include the Pop Rock women of the 90’s (Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette), California country/rock bands (The Eagles, Steve Miller Band, Doobie Brothers) and Country crossovers Faith Hill and Shania Twain.

As a little girl, Sarah spent most of her time singing, writing her first song at 8 years old. After participating in her first musical at age 10, Sarah’s love for performing grew. Throughout high school, she starred in school musicals, sang on demos, and entered radio singing contests.

Sarah then attended the University of Southern California, where she pursued a major in Popular Music Performance. While at USC, Sarah performed with her band around Los Angeles, eventually landing the opportunities to sing at Dodger Stadium and open for Steve Miller Band.

After two years of college, Sarah moved to Nashville to pursue an artist career. She quickly landed a lead role in Dierks Bentley’s “Tip It On Back” music video. Sarah spends most of her time in Nashville writing and performing, crafting a sound that is uniquely her own.
